Fortnite may be banned in China, but here in sunny South Africa just about everyone we know has played or will play it in the next hour. Funko has been making some neat niche collectibles lately, but this is going back to a popular brand that gamers know and love. This holiday season, you can pick up Funko characters decked out in collectible suits found in Fortnite, including the Omega skin, the Love Ranger, and the Cuddle Team Leader. Pick up your Pop collectible today for yourself or your loved one (which can also be yourself).

Good Old Games Winter Sale

Good Old Games has just launched their Winter Sale, and there are a ton of games on sale for ridiculous prices. GoG’s allure is that all the games they sell are copies of games, not a licence to play them – there is no DRM in any of the games on the store, and you can keep and play them on as many systems and in as many formats as you’d like. Good Old Games is run by CD Projekt, the holding company of CD Projekt Red who made the Witcher series and is currently working on CyberPunk 2077.

Also, for the LucasArts fans among our readers, there’s a giveaway for Full Throttle Remastered for a limited time. This is a 1995 remake of Tim Schafer’s classic exploring biker gangs with hilariously villainous and criminal antics. It’s fully playable on Windows 7 through 10, macOS 10.0 and newer, and runs on Ubuntu Linux 1604 and newer.

Humble Store giveaway and Warner Bros games sale

The Humble Store is giving away LEGO The Hobbit for a limited time. The Hobbit movies were okay, and the accompanying LEGO game is also so-so. But these games are always fun to play even if they’re very formulaic, and maybe you’d like to grab a Steam key to give to your kid or a much younger friend, or perhaps you’d just like to play it yourself. You can pick up the game free when you sign up for an account and subscribe to the Humble newsletter.

Elsewhere Humble is having a promotion on Fallout 76 and the Tricentennial Edition with up to 38% off (keep in mind that you need to run the Bethesda launcher), there’s an enormous sale on indie games including 40% off Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and a WB Games sale with up to 75% off select titles like Middle-Earth: Shadow of War (now lootbox-free!), Mad Max, Batman: Arkham City GOTY, and the F.E.A.R. series.

Evetech announces Gamdias distribution

When I reviewed the Gamdias Zeus several years ago, I was surprised by the chops displayed by a little-known peripherals maker out of China. Since then, the brand has grown considerably, and Gamdias has a big following in the Pacific region including Australia, and is making inroads in Europe with their RGB mechanical keyboards. And now Evetech is supplying the brand for South Africa. Gamdias has recently expanded into chassis components, offering their brand new Aeolus fans, the new Chione AIO liquid cooler family, RGB gaming chairs (yes, seriously, they’re putting RGBs on those things!), and THE CHEAPEST mechanical keyboards you’ll find with proper RGB support (although the controllers aren’t all supported by RGB software from ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock). Still, R799 for an opto-mechanical switch is a killer deal.

Morrowind Rebirth is a complete overhaul of your adventures in Vvardenfell

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is one of the finest first-person role-playing games you could play today, even though it’s been almost forever since the game first launched (2002), and at the time had been in development since 1997. Two hundred-hour long campaigns are normal for Morrowind, with its expansions reaching into Mournhold and Solstheim. Bloodmoon and Tribunal are long enough to be fully fledged games in their own right. Morrowind Rebirth is a mod for the game that overhauls it completely. Voted Mod of the Year for 2018, Rebirth includes gameplay fixes, updates to the game’s landscape, new graphics options, fixes a whole lot of bugs and design issues, adds farms and interactive NPCs, and adds new content, weapons, and collectibles in the game. Without having the entire game run on the Creation Engine, this is the closest you’ll get to a full remaster. Download it for free at Nexus Mods.
