Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop has cast its very good boy

Netflix’s upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic 90s anime Cowboy Bebop has been a subject of some contention among fans ever since it was announced. What would this thing become? Would it be good? Would it be terrible? Say what you will about the casting choices for the humans in the show but at least the most important information has finally been revealed – who will play the role of the crew’s corgi friend, Ein.

The answer to this should be simple, but far too many productions use CGI representations of the non-human animals that help populate their worlds. The production team at Netflix, however, has decided to go with the an actual real doggo.

This adorable puppy is just that, adorable, and he deserves his spot amidst the cast of the show. If nothing else, at least we’ll have a cute corgi gracing our space cowboy screens in the future. We can’t know if the human actors will do a good job, but how could that little guy do anything wrong?! It’s not possible! Is it, boy? Is it? No, it isn’t.
