Everyone’s favourite Psycho is being added to the Borderlands movie mix.
The 6’4 boxer-turned-actor, and man with all the abs, Florian Munteanu (Creed II) is in final negotiations to take on the role of Psycho with a heart of gold Krieg. He certainly looks the part, but it’s something the Hollywood Reporter mentioned that raises yet more plot concerns.

It’s possible they don’t know what they’re talking about, but equally possible they’ve been told what Krieg’s role in the movie will be. Tiny Tina’s protector? This isn’t what springs to mind when you think Krieg. Born a bandit, Krieg is captured by Hyperion forces and experimented on by Dr. Benedict. He’s subjected to such horrific abuse that his mind splits in two, keeping his sane voice on the inside and leaving him incapable of normal communication, beyond screaming things like BATHE IN THE MEAT CHUNKS! He still wants to murder all the things, but his inner voice tries to steer him away from killing innocents.
He’s definitely friends with Tiny Tina, one echo log in Borderlands 3 suggests that he taught her how to act like a Psycho, so she could infiltrate a “bomb-ass bandit party”, and she is depicted in the Flustercluck DLC as being important to him as well. Maybe the movie will flip the protect-the-child trope, you never know.
