Okay, so cleaning isn’t a task that brings me joy. It’s something I do, but it’s not something I want to do. It’s for this reason and this reason alone that I’ve never quite been able to understand people’s joy and fascination with games like PowerWash Simulator… until now.
Some of my all-time favourite childhood gaming memories are set within Croft Manor’s confines. There was just something about the lavish vastness that revolutionised the PlayStation 1 era for me. Now, PowerWash Simulator is allowing me to return to the place I once loved.
Adventuring is not without drawbacks, and all the time Lara spent exploring tombs away from home led to some significant neglect and decay of her home. Neglect and decay that only a good old-fashioned PowerWash can fix.
On January 31, a free DLC called the Tomb Raider Special Pack arrives for all players who already own PowerWash Simulator on either console or PC. In it, players will get the opportunity to snoop around Lara’s iconic home under the guise of cleaning it.

While this wasn’t the Tomb Raider news I thought I wanted, it was the news I needed. The chance to get up close and personal with the Croft Manor from my childhood and re-explore its many secrets has tickled an urge inside of me I didn’t even know I had.
PowerWash Simulator is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Alongside the Tomb Raider Special Pack arriving on January 31, the game will also launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch the same day.
