Unity has said that Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is set to be released in October, will have a map size comparable to what players have seen in Assassin’s Creed Unity’s Paris map or the Assassin’s Creed Revelations Constantinople map.
This isn’t exactly breaking news, as the developers have been very open about the fact that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be a project of a much smaller scale when compared to other games in the franchise, such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The developers have built a smaller map because they don’t want Assassin’s Creed Mirage to have a vast, open-world feel. Instead, they want to return the franchise to its cosy, city-focused origins. Hand in hand with this, the game’s parkour elements are also a point of focus and should be vastly improved over what players have gotten to experience in the latest instalments.

According to the developers who spoke about the upcoming title during the Summer Game Fest festivities, fans can expect the map to be the same rough size as Constantinople or Paris in previous franchise entries. However, this doesn’t clarify much other than that the game will be smaller, as both maps mentioned have considerable size differences.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to release on the 12th of October for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
