CES 2024 has been a banger of an event so far, with multitudes of new technologies on display for everyone attending to enjoy.
MSI is showing off some of its latest products, ranging from award-winning laptops with world-first technology to innovative, ground-breaking DIY PC components.
Three of their latest-gen laptops have been attracting a lot of attention, each sporting a 120 Hz 18-inch mini-LED display, Intel’s latest 14th-gen Core i9 processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series Graphics cards, the MSI Titan 18 HX, MSI Raider 18 HX and MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio have all been the talk of the town. Notably, the MSI Titan 18 HX is a CES 2024 Innovation Awards Honoree in both the “Gaming and eSports” [please don’t @ me, that’s how CES spells it] and “Artificial Intelligence” categories. The MSI Titan 18 HX claims this title as one of the world’s first laptops to include a 4K 120 Hz Mini-LED display, a seamless haptic touchpad, and a Cherry mechanical keyboard. Paired with the potential to push 270W of power out of the device, the MSI Titan 18 HX also has the potential to take AI by the horns and show it who’s boss.

The perfect partner to a gaming laptop is, of course, the perfect monitor. MSI has also revealed their latest QD-OLED lineup of monitors with many features. The Quantum Dot inherence of the QD-OLED line-up means these monitors push truer blacks and brighter, more precise colours. Add to this MSI’s new MSI OLED Care 2.0, which helps optimise panel protection, ensuring less burn-in and damage. Each monitor also has a 90W USB-C connecter with Power Delivery for fast mobile device charging and console mode support. The most impressive of the range, the MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED Gaming Monitor, boasts a 5120×1440 resolution, with 144 Hz refresh rates and a mind-bending 0.03ms response time—another CES 2024 Innovation Awards Honoree by MSI.

If you’re more of a Desktop PC kind of gamer, MSI also brought a good couple of components for eventgoers to peruse. From their MPG EZ120 ARGB magnetically connected fans to their, yet again, award honoree Motherboards, supporting Intel’s latest-gen CPUs, DDR5 RAM support with speeds of up to 7800 MHz, WiFi 7 and a plethora of M.2 connections.
To help keep the heat under control, the MSI MAG CORELIQUID E Series is also on display and taking home an honoree award from CES, with a ceramic-magnetic structure for the pump and special reinforcement between the tubes and radiator. The MSI MAG CORELIQUID E Series of CPU coolers even has a few firemen wondering about their job stability.
However, the components I’m most keen to see hit the market are MSI’s Project Zero motherboards and cases. Project Zero is an exciting innovation where the plug-in ports for your motherboard have been moved to the rear of the PCB, meaning the side that you put on display in your case is completely unhindered by a mess of cables. This should also help make PC building slightly easier as I won’t need to force my fat fingers between all the components just to try and plug in a tiny wire that I forgot to put in at the start of the build.

Of course, MSI wouldn’t forget to have a few of their peripherals on display either, from wireless mice with 26,000 DPI to customisable gamepads and keyboards, showing off MSI’s latest SONIC Switches.
Last but certainly not least is the MSI CLAW—the company’s attempt at a handheld gaming device. You can check out our piece on the device here, explaining what sort of specs we should see in both versions of the device.
With all this and more on Display from MSI this year at CES 2024, it’s no wonder that MSI are picking up so many CES 2024 Innovation Awards, and I can’t wait to have these new technologies in my lap, ready for me to play with.
