Good Guy Pocket Pair Says “Go Play Other Games”

After its astronomically massive launch on both PC and Xbox, Palworld is slowly seeing its player numbers dip. Still, Palworld Community Manager “Bucky” calls the discourse surrounding the dip “lazy”.

Sure, when a game reaches over 2,1 million consecutive players on Steam, giving it the second highest count on the platform of all time, and daily player peak nearing three million on Game Pass, it goes without saying that people will comment when those numbers start to drop.

Bucky says this is the perfect time for you to go out and enjoy other games.

“There are so many amazing games out there to play; you don’t need to feel guilty about hopping from game to game…

…Play lots of games, try different genres, and frequently flick through indie libraries to find hidden gems.”

While some claim that the hype around the game is over, Pocket Pair is keen to say otherwise. Yes, they may be a little short-staffed and were not predicting such an overwhelming response to their game, but they are working on the updates, as promised.

“It has taken years to get to this point, and Palworld only really begins from here. Everyone is working hard to fix the issues and prepare new content and Pals. Some of you may have had your fun over the last three weeks and found yourself putting the game down. That is fine.”

While the team is currently addressing critical issues and bugs in the game, their roadmap points to more exciting things. Things like PvP for both Pal Hunters and in the form of a Pal Arena are in the works. There are promises to get crossplay up and running between Xbox and Steam gamers, as well as various improvements to the building systems. New islands, Pals, tech to upgrade and bosses are also on the roadmap. These things take time to develop, and while they’re in development, Pocket Pair wants you to go out and enjoy yourself playing other games. Do it for your soul. There’s no gain in crying about a player base that’s leaving a game they’ve already finished.
