Path of Exile 2 Pushes Back Open Beta Release Date

Path of Exile, or PoE, has captivated the ARPG player base for years, taking on the big boy Diablo and humbling it almost every time, so when the sequel was announced back in 2019, we were all very excited.

Obviously, the planned 2022 release date has come and gone, but we did catch wind that a playable beta for the new game would come out around the 7th of June this year.

To rain on PoE fans’ parades yet again, this date has also been pushed back.

Announced in an X post, Grinding Gear Games, the studio behind PoE, informed everyone that they won’t be able to “polish” the game to a standard that they would be happy with by the time June comes around. They also said that they won’t be able to tell us exactly when the new launch date for the beta will be, but it should be sometime late in the year.

While games being delayed aren’t always fun things to read about, here at NAG, we’d much rather spend time playing games that had more time, love, and attention poured into them than games that are rushed because a crowd of people on TikTok started crying about it.

While waiting for PoE2, if you have already finished Diablo 4 or just don’t want to tackle the game for whatever reason, perhaps this is the perfect time for you to dive into Last Epoch. It could just be the ARPG you’ve been waiting for.
