Venusaur Used Solar Beam, It Was Super Effective

While not everyone may be enamoured with the actual best Pokemon in the world, #Bulba4Lyf, there is most certainly a community with a lot of love towards the salad frog.

So when I saw they were making the big baddy Venusaur charging up a solar beam as a light-up statue, you can bet I wasn’t surprised. I was just extremely jealous of everyone who managed to pick one up.

Partnering up with First4Figures, the same team behind other statues like Zelda and Link from The Legend of Zelda and Tails from Sonic 2, Pokemon have requested a light-up sculpture of Venusaur.

Posed in a battle stance with a solar beam charging on its back, the statue displays Venusaur in all its grass-type glory. Featuring light-up effects in both the solar beam and the mystic purple fog at its feet.

The statue weighs in at a whopping 2.7 kg and sits on a 25.5cm base. While not the tallest of the three original stage three starters, Venusaur certainly is the heftiest.

The statue will be a Pokemon Center exclusive and is currently on sale for $299, or around R5,600, excluding shipping.

If you are so inclined, the other two less important starters, Blastoise and Charizard, are also available on the Pokémon Center online store, also featuring light-up abilities, which would honestly look great as a trio.
