Project Loki Finally Moving Into Alpha

It’s no secret that quite a few of the NAG staff have a sad, toxic addiction to League of Legends. It is what it is, ok?

So, when we saw a couple of ex-LoL developers jump ship to Theorycraft Games and start developing their own MOBA, you had to know we’d be on board with them.

Sadly, due to our old age and difficulty getting off the couch while binge-watching Netflix, we struggled to get much playtesting done during the chosen pre-alpha time of 2 AM on a Saturday.

Finally, that will no longer affect us. No, not because we’ve found the fountain of youth, but because Project Loki is finally moving out of pre-alpha and into its alpha phase.

This means that the development team is committed to making the project more production-ready, and we’re likely to see more time slots on the playtest roster that are friendly to older people.

Alongside the alpha news, Joe Tung informed us that Theorycraft Games has partnered up with both NetEase and Nexon to help them reach the Asian audience that they know enjoys games like theirs so much. #Faker4Lyf

With huge companies like this already trusting Theorycraft’s yet-to-be-titled title, it shows that whatever Theorycraft is doing behind the scenes is definitely something MOBA fans should keep an eye on.

Theorycraft themselves have explained the game as “League meets Apex meets Smash”, and honestly, if that amount of chaotic clashing doesn’t sound like something up your alley, I’m not sure we should even be friends anymore.

If you haven’t yet, you can still visit Theorycrafts’ website to sign up for a playtest key.
