Lollipop Chainsaw is a cult-classic hack-and-slash game featuring Juliet Starling, an 18-year-old zombie-hunting cheerleader, and her beheaded boyfriend, Nick Carlyle. Originally released in 2012, Dagami Games announced in 2022 that they were working on a remaster of the game Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, which will launch on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X on September 25 this year.
Now, just a couple of months before the game hits our e-stores, Limited Run Games (LRG) and Play Asia have announced physical editions of the game, with LRG announcing a collectors edition, dubbed the Cheerleader Edition.
The Cheerleader Edition of the game features a physical copy on your platform of choice (except Steam) and a host of other goodies, including a 10-inch figurine of the chainsaw-wielding heroine herself.

Gameplay-wise, the RePOP remaster includes a few quality-of-life features, such as Full HD graphics and chainsaw combos, that increase Juliet’s attack speed for even more zombie-killing-mayhem.
The Cheerleader Edition can be bought from Limited Run Games for $149,99 or around R2,800, while the standard edition will come in at $44,99, or R820. Play Asia will sell a non-Limited Run Games branded, standard physical edition for around R700.
Pre-orders for the Cheerleader Edition of the game are open now and will close on the 25th of August 2024, with an expected shipping date of May next year.
