Forza Horizon 6 Barn Find Locations: A Guide to the Hidden Gems of Japan

Forza Horizon 6’s version of Japan is packed with neon-lit streets, winding mountain passes, hidden shrines, and enough car culture to keep petrolheads busy for hundreds of hours. But tucked away behind bamboo forests, forgotten farm roads, and overgrown hillsides are some of the game’s best rewards: Barn Finds.

This time around, Playground Games has hidden 15 classic and legendary vehicles across the map, ranging from Japanese icons and rally legends to one of motorsport’s most famous Le Mans racers. Rather than unlocking through Festival progression alone, Barn Finds are tied to the new Discover Japan system, meaning you’ll need to explore, race, complete stories, and generally embrace your inner tourist before every rumour becomes available.

If you’re hunting down every hidden treasure, here’s what you’ll find waiting behind those dusty barn doors.

Honda NSX-R GT
Stamp Required: Yellow

The first Barn Find rewards one of Honda’s rarest performance cars. Hidden among the forests of north-western Japan, the NSX-R GT is tucked away between two hairpin turns. It’s an early reminder that Forza Horizon 6’s best discoveries usually happen when you leave the tarmac behind.

Toyota 2000GT
Stamp Required: Green

Often called Japan’s answer to the Jaguar E-Type, the Toyota 2000GT remains one of the country’s most celebrated classics. You’ll find it hidden near the coastline around Ito, concealed among trees close to the seawall.

Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500
Stamp Required: Green

One for the touring-car fans. The legendary RS500 is waiting on a wooded hillside south of Ito, just near the Tokyo City border, proving that Barn Finds aren’t exclusively Japanese machinery.

Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R
Stamp Required: Blue

This Skyline is hidden near the southern reaches of the Nangan region. Follow the dirt roads away from civilisation, and you’ll eventually uncover one of Nissan’s most important performance cars.

Nissan Pao
Stamp Required: Blue

Arguably the strangest Barn Find in the game, the retro-styled Nissan Pao is hidden in dense woodland on the north-eastern side of Minamino. It might not be the fastest car you’ll own, but it’s certainly among the most charming.

Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3
Stamp Required: Pink

A classic 930-generation Porsche hidden deep inside a bamboo forest in Ohtani sounds almost too perfect for a game set in Japan. Thankfully, that’s exactly where you’ll find it.

Peugeot 205 Turbo 16
Stamp Required: Pink

Rally fans can rejoice. The Group B-inspired Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 sits at the end of a dirt road in the north-east of Shimanoyama, ready to terrorise every gravel stage you can throw at it.

Lincoln Continental
Stamp Required: Pink

The biggest surprise among the collection might be the Lincoln Continental. Parked beside farmland and surrounded by treesin Hokubu, it offers a welcome slice of American luxury among all the performance machinery.

Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R
Stamp Required: Pink

One of the coolest liveries in motorsport history returns as a Barn Find. Hidden in woodland between looping roads in Takashiro, this JGTC monster is worth hunting down as soon as the rumour becomes available.

Mitsubishi Montero Evolution
Stamp Required: Orange

Built for Dakar domination, the Montero Evolution is tucked away in forested terrain on the edge of Shimanoyama. Fortunately, a dirt road practically guides you to the front door.

Lamborghini Diablo SV
Stamp Required: Orange

Every Barn Find collection needs a poster car, and few fit the bill better than a bright Lamborghini Diablo. Look beyond a logging area near a tunnel in Ito, and you’ll uncover one of the most iconic supercars of the 1990s.

Nissan R390 GT1
Stamp Required: Purple

If you’re chasing motorsport royalty, the R390 GT1 should be near the top of your wish list. Hidden along a remote dirt track near the Ohtani and Shimanoyama border, it’s one of the rarest rewards in the game.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Time Attack
Stamp Required: Purple

This heavily modified Time Attack machine sits overlooking Narai-Juku in Shimanoyama and rewards players willing to venture onto elevated mountain roads. It feels perfectly at home in Horizon 6’s touge-heavy setting.

Nissan Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette
Stamp Required: Gold

The silhouette racers of the 1980s remain some of the wildest cars Japan has ever produced, and this Barn Find lets you own one. Head towards the south-west corner of the search zone and follow the dirt roads through sparse woodland in Ito.

Mazda 787B
Stamp Required: Gold

The crown jewel of the Barn Find collection.

Mazda’s rotary-powered Le Mans winner is the final reward and arguably the most desirable car hidden anywhere on the map. Located beyond farmland and walking trails near the Hirosaki Castle in Takashiro, the 787B is the kind of discovery that makes every hour of exploration worthwhile.

Worth The Hunt?

Absolutely.

Barn Finds have always been one of the best parts of the Horizon formula, but Forza Horizon 6’s Discover Japan progression system makes them feel more connected to exploration than ever before. Instead of simply waiting for rumours to appear, players are encouraged to engage with the country’s roads, side activities, stories, and hidden corners before earning access to these automotive treasures.

And when the final barn creaks open to reveal a dusty Mazda 787B? You’ll know the road trip was worth it.
