PSA: Oxenfree is all kinds of free on GOG

I seem to be writing a lot about Night School Studios, the team behind Oxenfree and the recently announced Afterparty. It’s for good reason, because Oxenfree is one of my most highly recommended games and you should totally play it. Like, now. Especially because you can get it for free on

That’s about all there is to it – a stellar adventure game can be yours for no money whatsoever. You will need a account first, but that’s worth having anyway, because the platform gives away free stuff quite often. If you need any more convincing, Oxenfree is a narrative-heavy adventure game that sees a group of teens digging up the secrets of a mysterious island. There’s romance, family drama, and ghosts in the radio. It’s a great time all round, really. Also, it’s one of the most beginner friendly games I can think of, so it would be an excellent gateway game for a non-regular gamer you’re trying to convert.

There’s no telling how long Oxenfree will stay OxenFree, so it’s best to act now. Give it a try – it’s an even easier sell now that it’s free. And while you’re at it, check out the rest of’s store, as there’s a huge sale on the go right now.
