Some guy is suing PornHub for not including subtitles in videos

A deaf man has open a class-action case against the website, claiming that it’s in violation of federal law and discriminates against people with disabilities. You can’t make this up.

According to TMZ, PornHub premium subscriber Yaroslav Suris alleges that the company’s failure to feature closed caption subtitles in its videos contravenes the Americans with Disabilities Act. As a result, Suris claims in the documents submitted to court, he’s missed out on very important plot context (or whatever) in videos like – and I’m quoting these from the source – Hot Step Aunt Babysits Disobedient Nephew, Sexy Cop Gets Witness to Talk, Daddy4k – Allison comes to Talk About Money to Her Boys’ Naughty Father.

“We understand that Yaroslav Suris is suing Pornhub for claiming we’ve denied the deaf and hearing impaired access to our videos,” PornHub vice-prez Corey Price explains. “While we do not generally comment on active lawsuits, we’d like to take this opportunity to point out that we do have a closed captions category.”

The closed captions category, however, is limited to 410 videos, and the tragic narrative circumstances of Allison’s cash problems aren’t in the list. So for viewers like Suris, her reasons for doing… that thing are entirely inscrutable. What a predicament.
