Loot Llama Fortnite

Ever bought a Loot Llama in Fortnite? You should see some free V-Bucks soon

Thanks to a 2019 class action lawsuit against Epic Games, everyone who has ever purchased a Loot Llama in Fortnite: Save the World, or Loot Crate in Rocket League, will be getting 1,000 free V-Bucks as compensation.

Epic is in the process of settling a class action lawsuit in the US that suggested the randomised loot boxes (subsequently removed from the game) violated state consumer protection laws. According to the lawsuit settlement website:

The proposed Settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing by Epic Games, and it denies that it violated the law. The Court has not decided who is right or wrong. Rather, to avoid the time, expense, and uncertainty of litigation, the Parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit.

So now, Epic (in an expression of their continuing benevolence) is giving away free V-Bucks/Rocket League Credits to anyone (anywhere) that bought a Loot Llama in Fortnite: Save the World or an Event Crate or Key in Rocket League, when they were still available. If you bought more than one Loot Llama/Crate/Key, sorry, but you still only get the 1,000 V-Bucks/Rocket League Credits. You don’t have to do anything to claim the reward, the V-Bucks/Credits should show up in your account over the next few days.

If you happen to be in the USA, and feel V-Bucks/Credits are not enough, you can submit a claim for actual financial compensation as well.
