Mountain Top Studios, formed by Nate Mitchell a co-founder of Oculus, has released a teaser for its first game; a first-person shooter inspired by anime and comic books.
The game does not yet have a name and all the teaser caption says is “soon”, but it sure looks like they’ve put quite a bit of work into it already. Let’s just hope “soon” actually means soon and not 5-7 years from now.

The teaser gives us a little peek into a few of the locations in the game, and I can’t help but see Counter Strike, but a few other scenes point to something a little more Valorant.
While we can’t one hundred per cent establish what kind of shooter the game will be, we can see that the art style is most definitely anime-inspired. This could be an exciting way to go with the art style because it means that lore and story content could pretty much be on TV and then you hop right into the game and play those very characters.

The Mountain Top dev team is made up of employees from a few prominent studios like Riot and Blizzard, to name a few, so I’m confident that a competitive team-based shooter is something they can produce, but will it be able to keep up with the current big names out there? I guess we’ll just have to wait for “soon” to change into “now” to find out.
