When I first got my hands on my 360 Hz monitor, I thought I was the bee’s knees. I mean, 360 Hz is a whole lot of speed, frankly, maybe a little bit too much unless I was hoping that my days of becoming a Counter-Strike pro were not behind me.
Well, ASRock has decided that 360 Hz is, in fact, too little. Announced in a press release that has since been removed, ASRock will unveil a host of new gaming monitors for their Phantom range at CES 2024 next week, most notably one monitor that pushes out 400 Hz and another reaching up to 520 Hz.
In the press release, it was stated that the 400 Hz monitor, or the ASRock Phantom Gaming PG27QFW2A, will be a 27-inch display that supports 1440p resolution. The 500 Hz ASRock Phantom Gaming PG27FFX2A will also be a 27-inch beast; however, there was no mention of a supported resolution, so it leads us to believe it will support up to 1080p.
Nothing more than this has been revealed, but with CES 2024 starting as early as tomorrow, it won’t be long before we find out more about these “Kings of Speed”, as so dubbed by ASRock.

Another pair of monitors from ASRock will also be on display at CES 2024, showing off OLED panels with speeds of up to 240 Hz. From the model names alone, the Phantom Gaming PGO34QRT2A and Phantom Gaming GO27QFS2A reveal that we’re probably looking at a 34-inch and 27-inch variant supporting up to 1440p resolutions.
ASRock also announced that starting from its latest revision of the Phantom range of gaming monitors, 180 Hz will be the minimum speed that will be supported.
Keep your eyes peeled on our news section for this and more info coming out of CES 2024.
