Silksong hides an entire third act, a secret stretch of game that is harder, meaner, and more spectacular than what came before.
But Team Cherry wasn’t about to hand it over with a neat little bow.
Act 3 in Silksong is locked behind one of the most devious sets of requirements in Metroidvania history, a tangled mess of side quests, hidden bosses, and optional content that isn’t really optional.

Here’s everything you need to do to unlock the game’s true final act and descend into The Abyss.
How Act 3 In Silksong Works
Unlike the clean jump from Act 1 to Act 2, Silksong Act 3 is gated behind side quests, a lot of them.
You’ll still need to defeat Act 2’s final boss, but the door to Act 3 only opens after completing a series of seemingly unrelated objectives across Pharloom.
Think of it less as progression and more as Team Cherry daring you to prove you’ve earned it.
Step 1: Complete All Wishboards
Scattered across Bone Bottom, Bellport, and Songclave, Wishboards are Pharloom’s help wanted ads, if “help wanted” involved hunting terrifying beasts and delivering suspiciously sticky meat.
Complete every single wish. And when you think you’ve got them all, go back and check again. Trust.
Some players might squeak by with fewer, but unless you enjoy gambling with your sanity, finish them all, yes, even the meat one.
Step 2: Rescue the Fleas
Next, collect and rescue the fleas. These little critters are deceptively important.
Gather them all, then escort their caravan to a secure home.
The safe spot is called Fleatopia. Yes, it’s fiddly and frustrating.
But this is Silksong, so of course, the flea escort quest isn’t simple.
Step 3: Build the Bellhart House
Saving Bellhart and acquiring Shakra’s maps unlocks the next step: your own house.
Complete the required wishes, then speak to an NPC near the Bellhart bench to unlock your Bellhome.
Pharloom’s subtle way of saying: “Congrats, you’re a responsible bug now. Time to own property.”
Step 4: Repair the Sentinel
Remember the broken automaton in Cogwork Core?
Track down three Coghearts, reactivate the Sentinel, and chase him through Memorium and Citadel Spa before his wish appears on Songclave’s board.
Only then will your rusty friend finally pay off.
Step 5: Trigger the Silk and Soul Wish
With everything else done, unlock the Silk and Soul Wish, Pharloom’s secret golden ticket to Act 3.
This questline requires gathering four special items:
Maiden’s Soul: found in Bone Bottom after the second Skull Tyrant fight.
Hermit’s Soul: hidden in Bellhart Bellway pipes behind a fake wall.
Seeker’s Soul: located in the abandoned Bellhome near the Bilewater bench.
Snare Setter: retrieved in Weavenest Atla after opening the Needolin door beneath Bone Bottom.
Deliver all four to the Caretaker in Songclave, and the trap for Grand Mother Silk is ready.
Step 6: Make the Choice
Face Grand Mother Silk.
The fight itself is brutal and brilliant, but once you win, you’ll choose: bind her as normal or play the Needolin.
Choosing Needolin triggers the third of Silksong’s five endings.
After the credits, your save file will be smothered in creepy black vines, break through them, reload, and Act 3 is unlocked.
