Halloween is just around the corner, and instead of having to worry about the undead, ghosties and other creepies running around your yard, today we’re worried about something a little smaller.
Mice.
No, not the four-legged critters that poop on your kitchen counters and hide under your fridge, we’re talking about the mice that sit on your desk, desperately waiting for you to stop browsing YouTube and start playing games so they can show you just how good their sensors really are.
If you’re looking to grab a new one, for upgrade, sidegrade, or even downgrading reasons, check out these three mice that we’ve hunted down that are on sale right now.
Logitech G203 Lightsync
Price: R349, marked down from R499

The Logitech G203 Lightsync is a simple, no-fuss mouse that closely resembles the Logitech G Pro.
It comes out of the box with Logitech Lightsync technology, meaning you can sync it up to the rest of your Logitech gear through G-Hub, and can be programmed with macro keys and custom DPI settings through the software as well.
It comes with six buttons, weighs in at 85g, has an 8K optical sensor and pushes out a 1000Hz polling rate.
For R350, the G203 is still one of the best budget gaming mice out there, and it’s currently on sale in both black and white versions.

Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed
Price: R1275,15, marked down from R1477,39
Get it here
The Razer Basalisk is the ergo-grip alternative to the Logitech G502, and the V3 X Hyperspeed is the latest model in the Basalisk range, featuring Razer’s Hyperspeed Wireless technology.
The mouse is more suited for a full-palm grip user, with its long main buttons and grip style, and favours those who enjoy a heavier mouse. Since the Basilisk V3 X Hyperspeed requires an AA battery, it weighs approximately 110g.
The mouse features six programmable buttons, an 18K optical sensor, and pushes out a 1000Hz polling rate when connected via the 2.4GHz dongle. It can also be connected via Bluetooth for some on-the-go laptop work, but I wouldn’t recommend any serious gaming on that connection.

SteelSeries Aerox 5 Wireless
Price: R1999, marked down from R3,699
Get it here
The SteelSeries Aerox 5 is a high-end gaming mouse from SteelSeries that promises ultra-lightweight and an even more-ultra durability rating.
Coming in at only 74g, thanks to its honeycomb design, the Aerox 5 is relatively lightweight compared to the other mice on this list, but it is still a little bit heavier than others out there. This could be thanks to its bigger battery, which SteelSeries claims can support 180 hours on a single charge.
The Aerox 5 also comes with a coating SteelSeries has called Aquabarrier, which protects all the internals, buttons and switches from splash and dust damage, even with the open shell design.
It features dual connectivity options, similar to the Basalisk V3 X, but comes with nine programmable buttons, making it versatile for various game genres.
While we haven’t had the Aerox 5 in for review, it certainly looks like a killer option for someone looking for a premium mouse.

And there they are, three no-legged critters at not-so-scary prices, perfect to pick up for anyone looking for a new hand buddy on their desk this Halloween.
