Moola Monday: Janu-worry Deals All Under R200

Whether you’re only getting back to work today, or you’ve already been at the office for the six weeks that have already taken place in January, there’s one thing that’s for certain: We all blew our budgets getting ourselves some really cool Christmas spoils.

Don’t Janu-worry, though.

This Moola Monday, we’ve managed to find a few gaming gadgets that are all easy on the wallet. Yes, everything in this post comes in at under R200, just low enough to get us to payday.

So, if you’re looking for a bit of that retail therapy to get you through, here are the gadgets we’ve found:

Jaki 1984 Retro Desktop Computer

The Jaki 1984 Retro Desktop Computer is a brick-build that consists of 276 pieces. With it, you build yourself a mini-PC replicating the good old 80s, with a colourful rainbow display, a removable chunky mouse and keyboard, and even some of the inside parts too.

Coming in at 10x9cm, it is the perfect little desk companion to remind you just how slow computers used to be.

All you need now is someone to build a whole PC inside of it.

Been stuck on TikTok watching 3D printer after 3D printer printing cool enthusiast items, wishing you could do the same?

Why not check out the Millennium Falcon Wireless Mouse Kit, a DIY kit that allows you to build your own wireless mouse from scratch. All you need to do is find a buddy (or bribe a NAG staff member) to 3D print the Millennium Falcon body to finish it all off.

It’s a great little project for DIY enthusiasts, and something you can bet we’ll be tinkering with at the NAG office.

VX Gaming Harmonia RGB Mousepad

Looking to add a little more colour to your already RGB-filled desk? Then you may want to check out the VX Gaming Harmonia RGB Mousepad. An 800×300 mini mouse pad that comes with its own set of RGB lights.

With its smooth cloth surface and anti-slip under, your mouse will shine on in any game you choose to spend the rest of January playing, instead of doing all the pesky 2025 catch-up work.

There they are, three cool little pieces of tech that won’t break the bank, but will still offer you just enough joy to make it to Mount Doom, uh, I mean February.

Sorry, that’s just how long this month is starting to feel.
