Moola Monday: Wireless Freedom

There comes a point in every setup where the cables start winning.

You move your mouse, something tugs. You tug back, and the monitor you just purchased suddenly goes black. Your keyboard isn’t sure if it’s living in a nest or a snake pit, and before you know it, that “clean setup” you started with looks like the back of a router from 2007.

So this week, I’ve gone looking for some wireless upgrades. Gear that lets you ditch the cables without damaging the wallet too much. Whether you’re gaming, working, or just trying to make your desk look a little less chaotic, here are three solid picks currently on sale.

Redragon RD-H510-PRO Zeus-X Wireless Gaming Headset
Price:
R731 marked down from R842.87

Redragon has been quietly building a reputation for delivering solid gear at more accessible price points, and the Zeus-X Wireless headset fits right into that space. It offers 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, giving you low-latency audio that’s actually usable for gaming, not just casual listening.

You’re also getting 7.1 virtual surround sound, a detachable microphone, and a comfortable over-ear design. It’s not trying to compete with the ultra-premium headsets out there, but for the price, it delivers a clean wireless experience without the usual compromises.

For anyone looking to cut the headset cable without spending a fortune, this is a very easy upgrade. You can even check out our full review of the headset here.

Logitech G515 Lightspeed TKL Wireless Gaming Keyboard
Price: R2,499 marked down from R2,999
Buy it here

Logitech’s Lightspeed ecosystem has become one of the go-to options for wireless gaming, and the G515 TKL is a great example of why. It’s a tenkeyless keyboard, which means more space for mouse movement, and it uses Logitech’s low-latency Lightspeed wireless tech for near-instant response times.

On top of that, you’re getting a low-profile mechanical design that makes it feel fast and responsive while still comfortable for everyday work use. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Logitech at this level, too.

If you’re trying to clean up your desk while still keeping that premium gaming feel, this is the kind of keyboard that makes a big difference.

Havit H.Kraken StarBlaze-1 Tri-mode Wireless Gaming Mouse (with RGB Dock)
Price:
R699 marked down from R999

This one is a bit of a wildcard, if I’m being honest. I’ve never personally had a Havit product in-hand, and I don’t usually pick up my gaming tech from Checkers, but there have been some pretty sneaky devices that have made it onto their catalogue, so I’m giving this one a little bit of my trust.

The Starblaze-1 features tri-mode support, so it can connect via Bluetooth, a 2.4GHz wireless dongle, and a cable, but that’s almost to be expected by now. The standout feature here is the RGB charging dock, which not only keeps your mouse powered up but also adds a bit of flair to your desk setup. The perfect mouse accessory for a wireless mouse.

Performance-wise, it’s built for everyday gaming with adjustable DPI and a lightweight design. It’s not trying to be a top-tier esports mouse, but it brings a lot of features to the table at a price point that makes it very easy to justify.

Three devices, zero cables, and a much cleaner desk setup.

Look, are cables really that bad? No. Yet, they somehow always end up tangled, in the way, or just slightly annoying enough to ruin your mood mid-game.

So if you’ve been thinking about making the jump to wireless, this might just be your sign.
